the winehouse wine workshops are structured tastings that focus on a specific grape variety, region or wine style. Each evening we’ll be trying 6-8 wines over the course of 90 minutes. Please note this is a wine workshop and not a dinner, food pairing with each wine will not be served.

wine workshop #4 – South of France
Join us for a structured tasting of red, white & rosé from the South of France. We’ll be trying 8 wines representing different grape variety, blends and winemaking styles, we’ll taste some side-by-side and some alone and discuss what makes each unique.

wine workshop #5 – TUSCAN FINDS
Join us for a structured tasting of 8 wines from Tuscany. We’ll be trying Chianti, Rosso’s, Brunello and Super Tuscans at varying price points. We’ll be trying these wines side-by-side and discussing the similarities and differences

Join us for a structured tasting of Chardonnays from California and Burgundy. We’ll be trying 6 wines from side-by-side and talking about the how the different terroir, climate and winemaking techniques impact the Chardonnay in the glass.

Ticket Price Includes 3 bottles of Wine and Free Delivery!

Location: Zoom – we will email you the details once you have registered! Zoom accounts are free, and the installation link is in the event’s invitation email.

Schedule: 6:45 log-in; 60 minute yoga class led by Into Nature, 5 minute pause, 20-30 minute three wine education class led by KWM.

Ticket pricing: $45 for yoga class with wine tasting (plus GST & PST) $10 “no wine” registration

 

Registration and wine delivery:

Please register online a minimum of 3 days prior to the event – we’re flexible but we will need time to get you the wine! Contactless delivery within Winnipeg is included but if it is easier for you to pop by and pick up the wine let us know.

 

Class includes:

● 60 minute yoga class. Take some time for yourself and release the tensions of the day.
● Through a gentle practice, the classes focus on the fundamentals and breath-work. Suitable for all levels.
● 20-30 minute post-yoga wine class. 3 bottles of wine are included in the regular ticket price.

January 12: Renewal – A new year brings new beginnings and letting go of what no longer serves you. Holding on can show up as tension in our bodies that needs to be released. Sometimes with renewal comes surrender, allowing ourselves to soften to new ways of being.

January 28: Pause – The fresh start of a new year invites us to leave the past behind. Nature and its winter stillness guides us to slow down and take me for rest. Honour the call to hibernate, pause and go inward. Take me to create space for the new to emerge.

February 9: Loving Kindness – Winter brings cold weather, causing us to collapse in for protection. Opening the heart space counters our rounding forward, allowing the breath to flow and the spine to properly align. Give back to yourself by bringing space into the heart, letting our loving energy flow inwards.

February 25: Gratitude – Take a moment from our busy schedules to simply be. To celebrate the little wins and for showing up on your mat. Gratitude allows us to become present in the moment, and be fulfilled with what is already available.

March 9: Letting Go – Emotions can be like rip-tides, pulling us under. We find our way with our breath, allowing whatever we are feeling to flow through. Let go of exceptions and the need to control. Release what is no longer serving you and free yourself.

March 25: Melt – As we encounter challenging situations, we can build up an armour to protect ourselves. This automatic response builds tension in our bodies that we may not even be aware is happening. Just as the sun melts the snow, taking a moment to be kind to ourselves allows us to relax and soften our hearts

30 minute post-yoga Wine Tasting featuring 5 wines per class. We’ll always start the evening with a sample of bubbly to toast everyone’s health and well-being. Light snack will be paired with the wines in the tasting.

Apr 29: GROUNDING down
Our feet and ankles support us and connect us with the ground. Building a strong and stable foundation allows us to handle the challenges that life brings us. This class will focus on rooting into the earth while finding length throughout the body.

May 13: open HEART SPACE
Opening the heart space counters the rounding forward we often do in life. Bringing in space into our front bodies allows the breath to flow and the spine to properly align. This class will focus on bringing space into the heart and the area that surrounds it.

May 27: REACHING outwards
Spines carry us through life, bending and turning through all the directions we move in. Poor posture and a sedentary lifestyle usually lead to tight and swollen back muscles. The health of your spine is key to the health of your whole body. This class will focus on lengthening the spine and increasing mobility.

June 10: creating STABILITY
Our legs move us through life, allowing us to handle its ups and downs. Tight muscles in the legs create a tension that causes the body to come out of alignment. This class will focus on bringing stability to the legs, helping to build the base of our foundation.
